The Church Square
This competition of the pavement and improvement of the environment of the Plaza de la Iglesia pretended the formalization according to the treatment of the different piazzas:
The circular one, the Plaza de la Iglesia, the most dynamic one, where the life of the village with its bars and shops is pulsating, the idea of the circle is reinforced by a curved pergola, and a centenary tree as the symbol of the village and its patroness, the Virgin of the Holm Oak, is situated on a key site.
The rectangular one, the Plaza de la Constitución, the most private one, closes a quiet space prepared for terraces, as well equipped with a straight pergola next to the heart of the plaza:
A fountain.
And the trapezoidal piazza creates out of rests a new piazza, closing the perimeter of the antique church, quite useful after events, giving sense to the porch of the church and value to the building heading it. The result is three new piazzas, each one with its own character, combining tradition with modern elements for the requirements of today and tomorrow
