WHO WE ARE

WHERE WE COME FROM

Enrique Hermoso and Karin Heimannsfeld have been working together since 1989 after installing themselves in Madrid following various years spent in Frankfurt and London working for architectural firms such as Richard Rogers and Zaha Hadid, among others. Since then, they have been the trusted architects of the German Embassy in Madrid and have developed several projects both individually and jointly. In 2004 they founded Hermoso & Heimannsfeld Arquitectos S.L.P., an architectural firm geared to achieving high quality and technical products.

WHAT WE DO

Our work is focused on developments for public offices, especially cultural buildings and sports complexes where our outstanding skills are demonstrated. The buildings are generally marked by their representative character and functional complexity. We have also built and designed other unique works such as religious buildings, housing and restaurants or rehabilitation work for private clients seeking a more sophisticated product or simply higher value.

WHAT WE HAVE DONE

The most representative works of us include the Palacio de Deportes de la Comunidad de Madrid, the Rafael Alberti Public Library of San Fernando de Henares, the public indoor swimming pool in Villanueva del Pardillo , the chapel for the Retamar School in Pozuelo along with the School oratory together with a lecture hall. Last but not least, we would like to point out the Comprehensive Recovery Project of the Plaza de España in San Fernando de Henares including the refurbishment of listed buildings of cultural interest, development of housing and commercial premises in the surrounding (adjacent) streets and providing underground parking facilities in the Plaza de España square. The project is completed with the design and conversion of the old granary building into the city museum. Currently, we are constructing a new facade for a former zeppelin hall in east Germany among other projects.

At Artytech2 we represent passion for architecture and always combine our technical standards with our understanding of art in order to enrich, improve and successfully complete every task that is given to us.
