Royal Museum from
San Fernando de Henares

The aim is to restore the building known as The Old Barn and integrate it into the building complex of the Plaza de España of the Royal Site of San Fernando de Henares, which dates back to the XVIII century, incorporating the program of the museum with the aim of having an exhibition space for the historical items of the town hall. The development covers the patio which separates the two building complexes by means of a skylight and creates two new floors below ground level which connects the buildings, with the possibility of housing rounds of exhibitions as well as offices for the town hall.
